A word from Reinet, the owner:

“This is a new concept formulated by my years of experience as a, Registered Counsellor, Centre counselor and educator, and being a Mom of a child with ASD/ Asperger’s. I have more than 25 years of extensive involvement in education, home centering, and counseling. During these years I have come to realize that High Functioning Autistic Children and Sensory Sensitive Children need their own unique space to learn and grow.”

Welcome to Wonderfully Made Centre for High Functioning Autistic and Sensory Sensitive Students.

Welcome to our Learning Centre! We offer small classes with a focus on individualized attention for children with unique learning styles, passions, and sensory challenges. Our teachers are trained in Emotional Logic, learning styles, personality, sensoty processing, and dyslexia support, Integrating Learning Therapy, and working with 2E children. While we welcome children from any background, our centre is founded and run on Biblical Christian principles such as love, service, and integrity.

At Wonderfully Made, we understand the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for children with high functioning and sensory sensitivity. Our vision is to help these children reach their full potential and realize how wonderfully made they are. We believe that a place is crucial for learning and growth, especially for those who have experienced trauma in the past. Our specialized approach to education allows our students to learn their own unique way and thrive in a supportive environment.

Our mission

At Wonderfully Made, we are a centre that allows high functioning Autistic individuals, often emotionally sensitive and vulnerable and with sensory sensitivity, to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally by:

  • Wonderfully Made centre draws on research and ideas from Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Cambridge, and more to develop an ecletic approach to learning.
  • This is rooted in being child focused and not time or curriculum driven.
  • Learning styles, personality, sensory issues, and areas of passion and genius/ giftedness are incorporated to develop a personal learning plan.
  • Learning is holistic, incorporating the child’s whole being, cognitive, emotional, psychological, physiological, social, and spiritual.
  • Students are actively involved in goal setting, planning, and assessment. Narration and critical thinking are valued.
  • Parents form an integral part of our team as we support, grow, and teach the children.
  • Partnering will take place with various experts to facilitate excellent and effective outcomes.

Our Why

Specialized exercises for specific needs

Every child has their own challenges and preferences, but many of them struggle with participating in sports. Still, physical activity offers them important benefits.

Creative, hands-on, real life learning

Hands on learning is a form of education in which children learn by doing instead of simply listening to the teacher. The student then engages with the subject matter to solve a problem or create something.

Sensory sensitive environments

Our carefully designed spaces minimize sensory overload and create a calm, supportive atmosphere that enhances focus comfort. By prioritizing sensory-friendly settings, we ensure that each child can learn and grow in an environment that respects and adapts to these sensory needs.

Individualized, customized workstations

We offer individualized and customized workstations designed to create an optimal learning environment for each student. Our approach ensures that every child receives personalized support and resources, empowering them to thrive academically and socially in a space tailored just for them.

Save spaces in a natural environment

Outdoor spaces include a range of different natural features such as sand, soil, grass, a variety of different plantings and trees. It is not enough for children to look at trees and plants in education and care services, they must be able to actively explore, engage with, and experience different types of natural environments.

Our team of experienced professionals is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive. We believe that with the support and resources every child has the potential to succeed, and we are here to help them every step of the way.
